Refund Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective: 2026-10-06
This document is a pre-launch draft. It will be finalized after legal review, and no paid charges are taken until then. The Korean version prevails if the two differ.
Article 1 (Scope)
This Refund Policy applies to Hangar paid plan (recurring) payments. The free plan involves no payment and is not covered. Where this Policy is less favourable to users than the law, including the Electronic Commerce Act, the law prevails.
Article 2 (Statutory withdrawal)
Under Article 17 of the Electronic Commerce Act, users in Korea may withdraw within 7 days of the paid plan contract (or of the day the Service became available).
Under Article 17(2)5 of that Act, withdrawal may be limited once supply of the digital content has begun — that is, once limits added by the paid plan (extra domains, more storage or projects, etc.) are actually used. The Company shows this on the checkout screen in advance and lets users try the Service first on the free plan. [Legal review required] How and how far this limitation must be shown will be settled after review by counsel.
Article 3 (The Company’s refund rules)
- Within 7 days of the first payment, with no paid limit actually used: full refund
- After 7 days, or once a paid limit has been used: no refund for the period already paid; after cancelling, the Service stays available until that period ends. [Legal review required] whether the remainder of an annual plan is refunded
- Automatic renewal: within 7 days of a renewal charge, with no paid limit used in the renewed period, that renewal charge is refunded in full
- Outages caused by the Company: a partial refund or an extension, depending on the length and impact
- Where the Company terminates without fault on the user’s part, or a user cancels because a paid plan changed to their disadvantage: the unused remainder, pro rata
Article 4 (Cancelling recurring billing)
Recurring billing can be cancelled at any time. After cancelling, nothing more is charged and the Service remains available until the end of the period already paid for. [To confirm] The console’s cancellation screen ships together with paid checkout.
The Company emails users at least 30 days before an annual renewal, and at least 30 days before a free or discounted period turns into a paid one or a price increases. [To confirm] These emails will be in place before paid checkout opens.
Article 5 (How to request and refund deadline)
Withdrawals and refunds can be requested at the contact below (email or phone). Please include the billing email, the payment date and the reason.
Within 3 business days of receiving a withdrawal, the Company asks the payment processor to cancel the charge and refunds the payment (Electronic Commerce Act Article 18). The card cancellation or bank deposit itself may take 3–5 more business days depending on the processor and card issuer.
Once a full refund is complete, the subscription ends and the account moves to the free plan.
Article 6 (Overseas payments — Paddle)
Users who pay through Paddle are also covered by Paddle’s refund policy. Paddle’s discretionary refunds can be requested within 14 days of the transaction, and statutory withdrawal rights depend on the country of residence (14 days in the EEA, UK and Switzerland; 7 days in South Korea, Brazil and China — see paddle.com/legal/refund-policy). Contact the Company first; once confirmed, the refund is processed through Paddle. [Legal review required] which period applies when the two policies differ
Article 7 (Disputes)
Refund disputes follow the Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards (Fair Trade Commission notice), and users may apply for mediation to the Korea Consumer Agency (1372) or the E-Commerce Mediation Committee.
