Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Effective: 2026-10-06
This document is a pre-launch draft. It will be finalized after legal review, and no paid charges are taken until then. The Korean version prevails if the two differ.
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the Hangar service at apps.2tl.io (the "Service") provided by the business shown on the business information page (the "Company"), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Company and its users.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Service" means every feature the Company provides, including web app hosting, databases, sign-in, file storage, scheduled jobs and AI integration.
- "User" means anyone who enters into a service agreement with the Company under these Terms and uses the Service.
- "Workspace" means the unit in which a user creates and manages projects.
- "AI automation key" means an access credential a user issues to an AI tool so that it can call the Service.
- "Preview" means the private environment for checking work before release, and "production" means the environment published to real visitors.
- "Paid plan" means a service used for the price shown on the pricing page (/pricing), and "recurring billing" means the fee being charged automatically to the same payment method every chosen period (month or year) until the user cancels.
Article 3 (Posting and amending these Terms)
The Company posts these Terms and its business information (name, representative, address, phone and email, business registration number, mail-order business number and hosting provider) at the bottom of every page and on linked screens.
The Company may amend these Terms within the limits of applicable law, including the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.
Amendments are announced on the Service, with the effective date and the reason, together with the current Terms, from 7 days before they take effect. Changes that are unfavourable to users or material are announced 30 days in advance and sent individually to the email registered at sign-up.
A user who does not agree may terminate the agreement before the effective date. A user is deemed to have agreed only where the Company clearly stated in the notice that not objecting by the effective date counts as agreement and the user did not object.
Article 4 (Formation of the agreement)
The agreement is formed when a user applies on the sign-up (or sign-up request) screen after reviewing these Terms and the Privacy Policy, and the Company accepts. As of this writing (2026-10), sign-up is available only through an invite link or an approved sign-up request.
The Company may decline, or later terminate, an application made in another person’s name, with false information, or by a user previously restricted, or for other legitimate reasons.
Children under 14 may not become users.
Article 5 (Provision and changes of the Service)
The Company provides hosting, databases, sign-in, file storage, scheduled jobs and AI integration. Details and limits follow the pricing page (/pricing).
The Company may change the Service for operational or technical reasons. Where a paid plan changes to the user’s disadvantage, the Company notifies the user by email 30 days in advance, and the user may cancel before the change and receive a refund for the remaining period under the Refund Policy (/refund).
Article 6 (Suspension of the Service)
The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for system maintenance or replacement, equipment failure, loss of communications or other force majeure.
Suspensions are announced in advance where possible and otherwise without delay afterwards. Compensation for an interruption of a paid service caused by the Company follows the Refund Policy (/refund).
Article 7 (AI automation and user responsibility)
- AI tools may deploy or modify only the preview environment; making a release live in production (activation) can only be done by a person signed in to the console.
- Users are responsible for managing the AI automation keys they issue. Unless the Company is at fault, it is not liable for losses caused by a lost or leaked key.
- Users bear the legal responsibility for content they publish to the production environment and for its consequences.
Article 8 (Fees and payment)
Paid plan fees, billing periods and what each plan includes are shown on the pricing page (/pricing) and the checkout screen. Displayed prices include Korean VAT (for domestic payments).
Users in Korea pay through a payment gateway connected via PortOne; users outside Korea pay through Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). For transactions processed by Paddle, Paddle is the Merchant of Record and issues receipts and handles taxes under its own policies; local taxes may be added by Paddle.
Before payment, the Company shows the product, price, billing period, automatic renewal, any limitation on withdrawal and how to cancel next to the payment button, and the user confirms them before paying.
Article 9 (Recurring billing and automatic renewal)
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis and renew automatically on the same terms at the end of each period, charging the registered payment method, until the user cancels.
Users can cancel recurring billing at any time, and the Company never makes cancelling harder than signing up or paying. After cancelling, no further periods are charged and the Service remains available until the end of the period already paid for. [To confirm] The console’s cancellation screen ships together with paid checkout; no payments are taken before then.
The Company notifies users by email in advance in the following cases. [To confirm] These emails will be in place before paid checkout opens; no payments are taken until they are.
- Annual renewal: the renewal date and amount, at least 30 days before renewal
- A free or discounted period ending and turning into a paid one, or a recurring price increasing: the change and how to cancel, at least 30 days before (Article 13-2 of the Electronic Commerce Act)
- A failed charge: the failure, the retry schedule and when access would be restricted
Article 10 (Withdrawal of the order)
Under Article 17 of the Electronic Commerce Act, users may withdraw within 7 days of the paid plan contract (or of the day the Service became available).
Under Article 17(2)5 of that Act, withdrawal may be limited once the digital content has begun to be supplied — that is, once the user actually uses limits added by the paid plan (extra domains, more storage or projects, etc.). The Company shows this limitation on the checkout screen in advance and lets users try the Service through the free plan, as Article 17(6) requires.
How to withdraw, refund deadlines and the Company’s refund rules follow the Refund Policy (/refund).
Article 11 (User obligations)
Users must comply with applicable law, these Terms and the notices the Company publishes for the Service, and must not:
- use another person’s identity or payment information without authorization;
- infringe the intellectual property, reputation or personal data of the Company or others;
- post or distribute illegal content (obscene material, gambling, phishing, malware, etc.) or use the Service to operate such a site;
- interfere with the normal operation of the Service (excessive load, attempts to bypass security, attempts to access other users’ resources, etc.);
- copy, distribute or commercially exploit information obtained through the Service without the Company’s prior consent.
Article 12 (Restriction of use and termination)
If a user breaches Article 11, the Company may, depending on the severity, issue a warning, take the project offline, suspend the account, or terminate the agreement, in that order. The user is told the reason and how to object by email beforehand; where urgent action is needed to stop a legal violation or harm to others, the Company acts first and notifies without delay.
Users may object within 14 days of the notice, and the Company lifts the restriction immediately if the objection is justified.
If the Company terminates the agreement without fault on the user’s part, it refunds the unused remainder of the paid period, pro rata.
Article 13 (Termination by the user and data)
Users may terminate the agreement (delete their account) at any time by email to the address on the business information page. Recurring billing ends with it; refunds follow the Refund Policy. [To confirm] An account deletion screen in the console will be provided before launch.
After termination, the user’s projects, databases and files are deleted beyond recovery. Users should export the data they need before terminating. [To confirm] The period until deletion will be fixed before launch and stated in these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
Article 14 (Copyright)
Rights to content users create with the Service (source code, data, assets, etc.) belong to the users. The Company uses it only as needed to provide the Service (storage, delivery, backup).
Copyright and intellectual property in the Service itself (software, design, logos, trademarks, etc.) belong to the Company.
Article 15 (Company obligations)
The Company does not engage in acts prohibited by law or these Terms and strives to provide the Service continuously and reliably.
The Company protects users’ personal data under the Privacy Policy (/privacy) and handles complaints and inquiries received at the contact details on the business information page without delay.
Article 16 (Damages and limitation of liability)
Where the Company or a user breaches these Terms and causes loss to the other, the breaching party compensates that loss, unless it was not at fault.
- The Company is not liable where it cannot provide the Service because of natural disasters, war or similar force majeure.
- The Company is not liable for service disruptions caused by the user.
- The Company is not liable for the content users publish to production unless it knowingly left unlawful content in place.
- Nothing in this article limits liability for the Company’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Article 17 (Dispute resolution and jurisdiction)
The Company receives complaints at the contact details on the business information page and responds with the outcome or a timeline within 7 business days.
Users may apply for relief or mediation to the Korea Consumer Agency (1372) or the E-Commerce Mediation Committee (www.ecmc.or.kr).
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Lawsuits go to the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act; a user who is a consumer may also sue in the court for their domicile.
Article 18 (Users outside Korea)
For users who pay through Paddle, Paddle’s Buyer Terms and refund policy also apply to payment matters. Any more favourable right a user has under the law of their country of residence is not limited by these Terms.
Supplementary provision
These Terms apply from the effective date shown at the top.
